Cisco provides each employee with ample resources to perform her/his job onsite or remotely. They care about work-life balance.

Cons

Perks declined over the past few years and no longer compete with LinkedIn, Goggle, and others in the area. Promotions and significant pay increases are rare. They don't recognize the people who perform behind the scenes, primarily those who are loud and showy.

Like the company's management by objective (MBO) culture, assuming everyone's MBOs align. Do love the company's acceptance of a distributed (work anywhere) culture. Do support the company's latest "Internet of Everything" market-texture.

Cons

Cisco has become more and more about who you know and who likes you, in lieu of what you have delivered or your value-add to the company, shareholders and/or customers. Politics now dominate the landscape and the embedded bureaucracy is only for the strongest of heart.
