Pros

Cisco had some good medical benefits, but they went away. They had a good stock option plan, but that went to the mangers and the senior leadership team. They had a good stock grant plan when you got promoted, but that is all under water and can't remember when I had a promotion in 7 years.

Cons

It's like reality TV, let's have another re-org to protect the management or give someone more people to build their empire. To many Directors who produce nothing. There are managers who have no reports to manage. It's not what you know or do, it's how much your boss enjoys your company. Cisco would make an excellent Survival TV show. Or maybe not, no one would belive the nonsense that goes on here.

Pros

Telecommuting, good salaries, and that's about it

Cons

You will spend most of your career in meetings, performance reviews center on check-the-box accomplishments, bonus is determined by manager's influence and not your actual performance. It's a place to go to earn a paycheck, unlikely to be a culture you're proud to join.

Pros

Innovation Focus - Customers Matter - Results Driven and Fact based. Cisco specializes in knowing and acting on key discontinuities - this means working on the leading edge - using with an enterprise wide architecture mental framework and truly helping Cisco customer create competitive advantage

Cons

Still challenging to get things done - admin and back-end process wise - but not as challenging as other large technology companies. It is a large company so not as nimble perhaps as you might want - but the great things about Cisco is you can find find entrepreneurial niches in many of the business units
