More meetings than you can possibly imagine Inconsistency between departments on how employees/contractors were treated Contractors are not given feedback on their performance until too late "Cisco Rule" applied randomly inside company -- some groups kept everyone year after year while others laid off their entire staff for almost no reason Poor employees often manage to squeak through the cracks while good ones get terminated Simple projects often become unnecessarily complex because of the need for consensus by EVERYONE. Extremely big company -- very easy to sit in an environment and not know who your neighbors are or what they do for years unless you introduce yourself to them
