      Pros

      Flexible work environment. Part of a world-class company with strong ethics and employee empowerment. Great options to explore opportunities in technology and leadership. It's a competitive and highly motivated work environment that is good for some but not everyone.

      Cons

      Sometimes the work - life balance is compromised by the motivated work environment.

      Pros

      The quality and qualifications of Cisco employee is extremely high and the competitive atmosphere drives innovation, collaboration and working to "go the extra mile". Cisco also drives a culture of fairness, diversity, collaboration and results that are "second to none". We also have the most energetic and motivational CEO in the world!

      Cons

      The compensation is mediocre with base salaries just above the industry median and the stock is flat. We are falling way behind the industry. As mentioned many times, the company demands a lot out of its employees and the new culture of collaboration leads me to my day job of attending 6-8 meetings each day and my night job is reading email. We are driving our business at break-neck speeds and I don't see the same focus and attention on the people aspect of the business as we did say 5-7 years ago. It is a stressful environment to work in but I love my job.... sigh.... It's a company of many type A personalities. Is the human body capable of keeping up this Cisco-pace?
