      Pros

      If you're interested in continuous learning, Cisco is the place for you. You also get to work with the best and brightest in the industry. Knowledge and information sharing is prevalent, and you feel like you're making a difference with the customer. Everyone is willing to help out, communication is easy and free-flowing.

      Cons

      It is extremely difficult to get ahead. Everyone works hard and is very intelligent. This means that if you were a big fish in a small pond before, you'll be average at Cisco. This may or may not be a blow to your ego, but I find it is hard to be recognized as an expert - since everyone is an expert. The trick is to specialize and become the go-to person for a particular technology.

      Pros

      I looked around at various companies, big and small, and Cisco came back with the best comp package and an excellent position.

      Cons

      High expectations, which are only a downside if you are a slacker. I came from another big company, so the culture wasn't too much of a change.
