      Pay, Benefits, technology, ability to move from job to job and gain experience. Top management in place for a very long time

      Cons

      Top management in place for a very long time. 2nd Tier HR leaders, need leaders from top rated companies. Too much churn in HR - no commitment from Top management to HR.

      Heartbreaking departure from Cisco

      Pros

      Intelligent, passionate, and highly collaborative individual contributors and managers. Ability to generate new ideas and take action to bring them forth without executive obstruction. (so long as no budget is required).

      Cons

      If selling budgets were part of the business model then spending as much time on them as people in the company do, would make sense. Worst of all, award winning, dedicated performers and beloved coworkers are not shielded from layoff actions. Anyone, no matter the value of their contribution, is subject to being laid off. This approach is highly disruptive and demoralizing and antithetical with John Chambers' "mantra" that employees are part of the Cisco "family".

      -The people -flexibility of working from home and remote locations -Cisco products, services & technology...good for the world -Employees giving back to community -Good benefits

      Cons

      -Too many overlapping roles -Lack of processes -Not enough "we" and too many "I" -Lack of transparency from senior management -inconsistent and limit promotability in company
