      Pros

      Very good pay. Open Communication.

      Cons

      Lethargic pace. Management is seriously lacking--they appear to have no idea at all what they're doing. Feifdoms rule the land, with each manager looking to grow their territory. Communication from upper management lacks any actual content. Stock is in free fall. Layoffs are planned, but unknown where they will take place. Management is moving jobs overseas.

      Pros

      If you're willing to work around the clock (I have a 1AM-6AM meeting tomorrow, and another on Sunday) you can do very well at Cisco.

      Cons

      Cisco has gone to a "management by council" mode so nobody seems to have accountability anymore. Chambers and team seem to be floundering, badly, after making some really bad decisions that they now have to rectify. Rumor has it huge layoffs are coming soon, and budgets are being slashed in really scary places.
