      Pros

      Customers that work with you respect you because you work for a power house company like cisco, and the work is usually engaging, but promotions seem achievable only if you leave the company, or leave the group.

      Cons

      Was recently passed up on a promotion because i don't kiss butt enough. manager told me to get out there and meet and talk to people, but how can you when you are pigeon holed in your job and cubicle day after day

      Pros

      It is a great place for older folks with families and mortgages. It's very stable and poor performance will not get you fired unless you are unbelievably bad (but there are exceptions to this as well). For those with lack of internship experience, Cisco is a good place to pick up a skill set and move on to another company.

      Cons

      1. Career advancement is non-existent. 2. No increases to salary to keep up with inflation. 3. Little recognition for good work.

      Flexible timings Work from home People oriented company Management encourages you to take initiative and to innovate Good Senior management

      Cons

      Not much growth when you are in negotiate hard when getting in (hikes are done at US levels 5-6% a year) Mid level management is bad company has more faith in vendors as compared to its employees Work is done for short term gains and no one thinks about long term design
