      Laid off even during Covid 19 pandemic

      Pros

      Overall work environment is good. Flexible work timing.

      Cons

      Layoffs happen very frequently, even during Covid-19 pandemic. You cannot believe in company, always believe in you skill. Lots of politics with in all the team managers, even if you are a good performer simply they will layoff .

      Pros

      Benefits are good, especially generous PTO. 401K matching is decent.

      Cons

      Base pay got reduced by around 6% in one year. I never heard of this situation in the industry. New comp plan for systems engineers is not geared to pay well. Due to macro and micro economic reasons, if goal attainment is less than 100%, take home pay will be lower in the new comp plan. Leadership team boasts about the upside, but does not provide any reasoning for reducing the base.
