Pros

Good network of Citi staff worldwide

Cons

New transformation agenda is killing employee morale and does not seem to be addressing lack of client-centric approach. It looks like the leadership cares more about the share price than its clients. Employees genuinely care for clients but are not given the resources to help clients and generate ambitious revenue targets set by management. A real vicious circle. Too many internal committees and meetings that are often prioritized vs client meetings. People get mad if you prioritize a client meeting vs an internal call. Additional Risk and Control is killing the business as they act more like a police looking for issues everywhere instead of actually helping. Lack of empathy from leadership who does not care whatsoever anout employee wellbeing. Voice of Employee survey is the most useless exercise as employee concerns are always rebutted by Management, citing internal constraints. Overall, not a good place to work anymore due to contradicting agenda from management and their lack of empathy and extreme focus on the share price vs clients.

Pros

Competitive package/salary, flexible working hours/arrangements,

Cons

Toxic environment and culture, managers expect you to pick you things really fast with little to no guidance. Cutting limited headcount but management is still upholding high expectations of delivering unrealistic cascaded goals. Many VPs are not meeting the mark here but nothing is done by senior management. Also noticed a few unjustified promotion candidates. Had a bad onboarding/new hire experience, applications and systems are also in a mess and very confusing.

Pros

Citi’s overall compensation is competitive.

Cons

Most of Citi’s 1 and 2 star reviews I've read on this site are absolutely true. - Low diversity - Terrible work/life balance - The worst on-boarding experience - No documentation, training, or peers who can provide you information. - no manager 1-1s - No collaboration, teams work in silos, with no vision. - multiple contradictory decision makers. - EPMO and PMO adds zero value in this organization - ICRM is the worst of all. This unit alone adds more risk to Citi, possibly costing the firm 10 time more than any other bank , while bringing in no revenue. - no checks and balances. - unclear roles and responsibilities - no accountability and ownership - major lack of trust at all levels - no one seems to know why they do what they do. - Sr Management in the USA advise employees to just do what you are told. - numerous compliance courses to complete every month that no one seems to adhere to. - ICRM violates they own policies and HR is complicit. - the whole organization works like paper pushers
