Pros

The work/ Life Balance is very good, but it all depends on who you are working under.

Cons

The raise is absolute crap. The company made 9.2B last year and the average raise is less than 2%. The bonus is also no where in line with what recruiting and HR will tell you. Take that % and cut it in half, then reduce it. A lot of good people are also being let go. They keep folks that must have some great political skills over people that are actually moving the needle. The CEO also only cares about the stock price. She'll come on sight and lie to you about how she cares. But at the end of the day her 23 million dollar salary is more important to her than her word and the staff. The DEI is so strong here- I had a VP position open and received multiple emails from 1 and 2 down from the CEO about how hiring someone of color or diversity for my role was the focus. Not the best person, that was never noted. Just someone in the DE area. Benefits- the more you make the more they take. So, a single guy making decent money will pay double what some one else would pay for a family of 4. It's a hybrid deal- 3 days in, 2 WFH. They sprung that on us last year with no warning. Also, the communication is terrrrrrible.. You find out your boss or bosses boss was let go based on a new org chart from someone that is 4 levels above you that you've never met.

Citi is an incredible place to grow your career. You will learn from some of the best in the business. In addition, you will be presented with challenging opportunities to push yourself to the next level.

Cons

My only regret is that I could not a way to stay longer. Sometimes life throws us curve balls and we have to make hard choices.

Pros

I have found a hand full of people that are great to work with and are passionate about innovation and growth. I also think it was super cool that Jane made an announcement to support woman that were losing healthcare access in their states and she stood with them in letter them know that she would support travel if they needed to take that action.

Cons

People sit in the same role for decades and resist any change. Senior leadership consistently "bullies" teams into doing what they want by escalating. They are about 10-15 years behind other big banks when it comes to process and technology. They have scared themselves into so much red tape that most of what they do is wasted work or it takes ages to get simple task completed. There is no career mobility for remote workers and it traps people into working for the same department under the same rigid processes for decades. I have submitted so much feedback to this company and they don't care. I would not recommend anybody to work here and I feel terrible recruiting people to work here before I found out what it was really like.
