Beware of yearly layoffs...it will happen to you

Pros

Great resume builder/entry level job for recent college graduates. The Citigroup name will look good in future interviews. The company provides extensive training before you start. Overall the direct managers are knowledgeable and willing to help. The work itself can be very interesting. The pay is ok.

Cons

Every year Citigroup will accumulate a back-log of cases, hire an abundance of temporary employees (while converting a few 'temps' to permanent status to give an appearance of legitimacy)...... the remaining analyst will work around the clock off striving to become an exempt employee, and when the case backlog is finished upper management will proceed to layoff everybody and the kitchen sink. The work is stressful and you always get the impression that you can be fired at any given moment.

Pros

They pay well compared to local rivals, i guess it looks good on the CV once you leave (and you will)

Cons

The hours, the managers, the lack of any compassion at all. It is the worst place i have EVER worked.

Pros

Good salary Decent benefits Great location Modern building facilities Good trainers Discounted food on premises

Cons

If new don't request for holidays or sicks days as you wont get them unless your friends with the management. Need to be curious about some staff members as they will stick the knife in when your back is turned and just be generally nasty for no reason. All political politics so don't expect promotion soon unless your cleaning the bosses car every weekend. Workload is very high compared to most other companies and you seem to never have enough time to complete everything so guaranteed to stay at least 1.5hrs extra a day.
