Pros

- Work-life balance is not too bad and there is flexibility if you need to work from home - Good training courses and online material to learn from

Cons

- Salary is poor, below market rate and bonuses have been close to zero since 2008 - Not a friendly working environment and there is unhealthy competition within the same team. People are not willing to share information and work in silos - Lack of leadership within the team, talented people are lacking and people tend to be over-competitive to mask their insecurities - Politics get in the way and morale is low. Staff are leaving to join competitors - Extremely limited opportunities for career advancement within the department
