Central location, free drinks machine

Cons

I don't know quite where to start. I don't want to put people off, I am sure this job suits some people, but if you want to be lied too and not listened too and just want a wage, an inadequate one, until you find employment elsewhere then its bearable. Just make sure you're not ill, or have a tragedy in your family,, you will get grilled and if you take time off for a funeral they will make you pay that time back.

Don’t work at coop in Scotland

You learn the basic skills for customer service.

Cons

In my store: There is little to no confidentiality Customers are gossiped about and staff members. Managers tell you over the head set and radio that you are dumb and slow (when you have a learning difficulty) Managers also try to hit on you whilst you are working, to the point you feel you have to resign. On staff nights out they all do drugs. Inconsiderate to university students. They make you work full time when you are part. Managers stand in the stock room betting on their phones and watching the football, making lower down staff work. When you want to resign managers make it difficult and refuse to let you hand in written resignation.

Pros

For the most part I had a great time working here, although that was more down to the team than the job. The work wasn't challenging. Good Pay for 16-18 year olds. Flexible hours I could fit around school and there were plenty of extra hours outside of term time

Cons

The work can be a bit monotonous, especially on the tills. No benefits for staff as staff discount is the same as you get with an NUS card which was a bit annoying
