Pros

* Some good people who will help you. * Pretty pay cheque.

Cons

* Half an hour to travel through the Sahara desert, Artic and Amazon rainforest until you finally reach the cafeteria where you will wait your whole break to be served. * Ridiculous pressure to reach pick-rate of 90%. You are just a number to most members of management - management of which are just a group of monkeys, where majority have never picked a box in their lifetime - but will happily tell you how you SHOULD be picking. * Looking to forge relationships with colleagues? look elsewhere - talk and you’re told off by your allocated monkey. * Felt sick? off work for a day? too bad:(( you’re a lucky winner of a police interrogation when you return! * Promised room for progression to train in other areas? hahahahahaha more you silly little picker.

Pros

It’s a wage that’s all

Cons

Too many field managers not enough store colleagues constantly cutting hours under the guise of taking tasks off colleagues then a few months down the line the tasks re appear under a different format but guess what no extra hours to do them. Too many people scared to complain because this is being negative. Store management expected to be available 7 days a week at the beckon call of the area manager. Expected to use own phone for work business and attend meetings on your days off. While field management have numerous pointless conferences stores can’t have enough staff to do all tasks that need doing and feel safe. If it doesn’t affect field management then it’s not a problem

Pros

At the moment none.

Cons

The co op rules through fear and bullying - I have never felt so depressed and low in my life. I can't wait to leave this business and would not recommend working for the co op to anybody. If you are not management, you are worthless and irrelevant. There are very little chances of progression unless you are friends with the managers. If you are quiet you are walked all over, if you are honest then you are treated as a problem. There is no work/life balance - working every Saturday and Sunday whilst managers have this time off is apparently ok. Because the co op only seem to hand out short contracts (unless you are management) you cannot argue this because you will lose overtime. I'm not sure what has happened to the co ops ethics - it's changed so badly in the past couple of years - I used to enjoy going to work, now it leaves me feeling sick and tearful.
