Worst job

Pros

Good for progression Good for work in the community

Cons

Lot of unsociable shifts, kiss goodbye to a life. Upper management abysmal. Very monotonous. Company is all about giving the customers what they want with very little to no interest in their staff. During my time in the company, every benefit or incentive to work for the company was stripped, ie dividends, bonuses, discounts of 20% etc.

Pros

The maternity pay and the sick pay is the only benefit to the company

Cons

Do not understand mental health, tried to stop my pay when I went off sick with post natal depression. Took the job I had spent so long trying to get away from me when I returned from my maternity leave. Full of false promises. Make out like the bonus scheme is really good but there's so many things that can give you a handicap that you probably won't even get a bonus after stressing yourself out so much to get it.

Pros

Nothing positive to say. Still have nightmares when i think about this place.

Cons

Worked in co-op in glasgow for 3 years on a part time basis (16 hours contract). In that time I had 3 weekends off. I begged them for weekends off to see my children. They would agree to this and then when the rota went up it would be the same. Late finish on a friday. Early start on a Saturday, full day sunday. Ended up doing 36 hours a week. I spoke to senior management about this, who couldn't even pretend to care. Was awful. Very much a dead end job. The money is not enough to live on. I had tears of joy when i left.

Thanks for your review. We are really sorry to hear this, and shocked about your experience, as this is not typical practice. For current employees who are unable to resolve issues with their manager directly, we have a dedicated HR team who are always happy to help. We also have a 24-hour employee assistant programme available to all of our employees.
