Customer service for phone carrier

Pros

Fun people trying to keep up morale on a sinking ship. You will appreciate your next job and wonder why you ever darkened this door.

Cons

Watched tons of people quit. Customers are angry and supervisors micromanage. You can be written up for 1 minute late from a 10-minute break (when it takes you 2 just to get to the break room or bathroom). Benefits are the worst. There is no reason for a company this size to only offer 1 medical plan with a high deductible.

Pros

they offer full time 40+ hrs a week and you gain good experience in call center setting

Cons

although I was able to stay in the top 15% of agents the majority of my 3 years there, expectations for company metric standards are difficult for many employees to achieve on a monthly basis

Pros

Worked remotely from home, which afforded me significant freedom

Cons

Technology is behind and cost is high, which leads to very little new business, while many clients leave. Regular reduction in forces, forced week off without pay. No bonus or raise.
