Pros

The only good thing about the place was the staff that worked there - fantastically talented people and a great team spirit.

Cons

Absolutely no job stability whatsoever. As soon as Conduent came into being at the start of 2017 they started laying people off and it will continue until at their whim as they see fit. Dreadful communication and management, only interested in making big bucks with US approved markets. Totally US focused, sending out blogs on how important the staff are and how great the future looks whilst all the time laying off staff across the rest of the world.

Pros

Consistent hours Consistent paycheck (once they figure out that you're an employee there, and that could take two months of not receiving a paycheck)

Cons

Ugh...first, I worked hard to get to the top of my training class through learning the course material and adhering to the attendance policy, and someone at the bottom of the class is chosen as the subject matter expert? During training we were told that our hours would start as early as 8:00 am. Great! I and others have obligations in the evening (like a second job), so we could do both jobs, but no! They changed our hours, took away shifts, and left us with 10 or 11:30 start times. Half our training class quit because of this kind of garbage. There was a $500 reward for the employee with the best attendance, performance, etc. Only one person out of over 190 employees qualified. One?? Even then, she didn't get close to the $500 reward. It was a gift card for, like, $50. Speaking of attendance, they are incredibly strict about it. We get two 15 minute breaks, and one 30 minute lunch break. However, we need to be back and ready to work BEFORE the break ends. That means we need an extra two minutes to log back into the computer, get the systems running, etc. In other words, they are stealing time from us. Speaking of attendance, that is perhaps the main thing they use for grading an employee. One of my co-workers became violently ill and went to the hospital while she was working, and now she is considered absent for that day--something that will impact her employee review and promotion potential. Speaking of attendance, if you don't have any PTO, they won't let you take off a day without punishing you. It doesn't matter if you are sick, your child is sick, you have blood coming out your eyes--it's all considered an absence, and it will be counted against you. Speaking of attendance, if you need to use the bathroom, it counts against your break time. Furthermore, since you didn't go during the allowed break time, you are not in compliance with the attendance policy. If I'm a woman and need to use the bathroom to "change things," at certain times of the month, I would be punished for it. Speaking of attendance, the minions are required to adhere to the attendance policies. Anyone (i.e. supervisors) else isn't. Hypocrisy, anyone? We're told that there are growth opportunities. I was doing one job for several years, and I decided to take a new opportunity. I really didn't like it, and so I applied to go back to my other job. I cannot even get an interview for the job I was just doing because I'm not qualified. Seriously?

I can’t get out of here soon enough

Pros

Work from home opportunities are plentiful.

Cons

The leadership is very weak and seems like we have a new senior leader org structure every other month. Long hours are expected, if you work here you are expected to put in 12-14 hours/day and you are expected to be available to work even during your scheduled PTO. This isn’t just a thing where you put in long hours for a few days to make a last push to close out a deadline, this IS the expected norm. You will have no work/life balance, it will be all work during the week and some weekends. The pay gaps are wide for the same roles and you will never get a raise. The company has been in a wage freeze for over 2 years now. There is very high employee turnover due to demoralizing working conditions, so we are constantly in a re-training mode. To sum it up, long hours, low or non-competitive pay, ineffective leadership, and low morale inducing conditions.
