      Pros

      - Company culture is great. It's open, communicative and encouraging. - We get to work with some of the most amazing clients and organisations in the world. - The people here are incredible. Everyone's skills, experiences and personalities are all things that all of us can learn a lot from. - Plenty of opportunities to take initiative and responsibilities to develop as a person and a professional. - Support, help, encouragement and mentorship from more experienced and senior people. - Honestly this company is pretty much all you ever want from a work place.

      Cons

      - Pay can be higher, but I believe management is working on it. - As the company grows, it's facing scaling challenges that can show up as inconsistencies or miscommunication, but everyone is involved in solving the problems and make it a better work place.

      Thank you for your review. It means a lot to me that you took the time to highlight the things we’re doing right, and provide constructive criticism on areas we need to do better. I’m happy you love our team and our culture. It’s the reason why Connected is attracting the partners we are and growing at such a fast pace. My #1 priority is to continue to build a solid team of smart, reliable and kind people who are passionate and excited to teach and learn everyday. As for areas for improvement, we are working really hard trying to bring salaries up to the industry average. We’re still a young company, but on the right track to reach parity soon. In the meantime, we do review salaries twice a year, so if you have any concerns please don’t hesitate in addressing them. As you mentioned, we are trying to be as transparent as possible, and want to address any issues when they arise, so be sure to let me and/or the mgmt team know when you have questions. I appreciate your note about developing internal talent and promoting from within. Can you share some more details on this comment at mike.stern@connectedlab.com?       Pros

      - amazing growth, great mentorship. people here focus on quality and know how to execute across a variety of projects - extremely smart people, and at the same time kind, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Leadership team all lead by example! - fast controlled growth, huge opportunity to work with awesome clients

      Cons

      - the office has some minor problems; wifi isn't consistent in some areas of the office, ethernet ports aren't crimped, and some space is still un-utilized. but it's a nice big space for lots of stuff to come -

      Working at Connected Lab...

      Pros

      Connected Lab is genuinely a very exciting place to work. Organizational structure is very flat. It is the kind of place when anyone can have a lot of impact in positively effecting the company, all the way from a coop to the CEO. It's a great place to work if you are ambitious and looking to get a lot of experience and learn quickly from those around you. There are many opportunities at connected lab that just wouldn't exist for employees in a more corporate organizational model. Overall an exciting and positive work environment. Also has really fun work events and company outings. The office has a fun atmosphere with lots of good conversation (and ping pong).

      Cons

      The gender diversity on the engineering team is low right now, but it's something the management team has been actively improving. Sometimes the company outings end up at bars/clubs with drinking, which is not everyones cup of tea. Though the new office is much bigger and nicer than the old location it is still a little rough around the edges in some spots. but this is understandable since the company did move in relatively recently.

While drinking does happen, it will never be the focus. We believe that having fun means people can still keep their health and personal values.
