Pros
Despite redundancies, there are still opportunities to work alongside some really great people.
Cons
Repeated rounds of redundancy mean that nobody ever really feels safe in their job. As a result of these, the workforce has been reduced to the point where certain people with niche skills are stretched so thin that they're unable to do their jobs effectively. In some cases, we've got rid of entire support teams for technologies that are still in use on customer accounts. I've not had a pay rise in the whole time I've been with either DXC or its predecessors, and I'm certainly not alone in this. The whole culture is underpinned by the message that we must cut costs, with absolutely no consideration of the impact on the people who have to continue to deliver services without the resources to do so.
