Best group of employees I have ever worked with. 12 years of amazing people all below or at regular management level. Senior leadership doesnt listen... ability to further yourself in career is based on performance and I had no problems getting promoted.

Cons

SO MANY CONS, structure, higher ups not dealing with real problems rather using metrics to define fake data. No real accountability for leadership and the pathetic ways they drop ever changing agendas on each person. Pay is far below IT standards in sales.

Pros

The company is strongly committed to flexibility and work-life balance. There are a wide range of financial and wellness benefits that contribute to this focus. Work is stimulating and sophisticated. Colleagues are motivated and high caliber.

Cons

The company has seemed less stable, internally, recently. First came a sudden return-to-office mandate, 3 days a week, that seemed to contradict long-standing messaging about the primacy of work as a result vs work as a location. Then came the sudden resignation of our new co-COO. Then came a major realigning of go-to-market strategy, and widely reported layoffs. All of this has taken a toll on internal morale. Hopefully the company is now in a stronger position moving forward. More generally, compensation does not appear competitive to market, and career opportunities (especially now) are limited.

Good brand recognition, good global presence, okay laptops and PCs (not great but okay).

Cons

If you are looking for a job working in the rapidly growing Cloud, SaaS, or AI markets, Dell is not the place for you. They are terrible in these areas. Dell is a hardware company, nothing more. They say they have software and services but they're really really bad at it. They don't know Cloud. They don't understand SaaS. And they don't know AI or how to leverage it to help grow the business.
