Pros

Dell has created an equitable and efficient environment where we work as a single global team delivering the right solutions. Dell leveraged the challenges of the pandemic to create a top of the line virtual working model that enhanced productivity while fostering creative work-life balance for its employees.

Cons

Dell has disappointingly to follow instead of lead with its return-to-hybrid initiative to force workers back into the office. Instead of leveraging its efficient virtual work model to create an attractive place to work for current and new talent, it has instead opted to fall in line with a practice that makes little sense in the new world. A company where work relationships transcend physical location does not benefit from trying to force a face-to-face culture.

Pros

Big company, so there's a lot of opportunity for lateral movement. There is also an opportunity to immerse oneself in different Technologies because Dell's technology portfolio is so wide. I was always a remote employee, so that was nice. And before the pandemic, Dell was reasonable and generous with reimbursement for work- related expenses.

Cons

There is much, TOO MUCH churn!! One is constantly in fear of losing one's job. I had to jump to three different groups to avoid being laid off, but alas, I was laid off in January. Ridiculous. Part of it is the never-ending convergence process after the acquisition of EMC. And talk about a clash of cultures! Wow! The other reason is sheer corporate greed. And all companies are responsible for that. Dell touts all its remarkable earnings and increases in revenue YoY, yet they keep engaging in mass layoffs. Greed! They are trying to keep up with other greedy companies thati are maximizing profit margins artificially by reducing labor costs. After the pandemic Dell got unreasonable amd petty about customer-related travel.

Pros

Maybe a decent place as an intern or recent grad

Cons

No job security. Terrible product management with no cohesive strategy other than ‘cut costs’. Dell systematically deconstructed EMC brick by brick. The amount of dysfunction, red tape , and hurdles to service your customer are numerous and growing. Little to no opportunity for advancement for field sellers.
