      Pros

      Company has a good reputation in the industry for low cost products. They are trying to expand to include other areas of IT with their purchase of EMC.

      Cons

      They are a hardware company and work in big silos. There seems to be a lot of overlap and the division I worked for got a lot of credit for work that other divisions were doing. My direct manager has spent 17 years flying under the radar and trying not to rock the boat. He is very good at that.

      Pros

      - Super flexible work environment. Great work life balance (A great place to work if you are looking for a relaxed place to work) - Friendly people - You get to live in Austin if you work in Round Rock or Parmer (Austin)

      Cons

      - Employees are NOT motivated. Not many people are loyal to the company. Don't believe in its vision. - Lot of bureaucracy. Takes forever for any changes to happen. Probably not a good thing for a tech company - Provides terrible systems (laptops) for its employees. Frustrating to work on their laptops. Hard to be a promoter of Dell products after working there. - Terrible systems. Don't even have a proper ERP system. Everything is done on Excel or old legacy systems. (when I say old, I literally mean 10-15 year old systems) - Lot of churn in management. Lack of continuity and direction due to this.

      Nasty offices, ok job security

      Pros

      Hard to say. If you are an average performer that is just looking for a steady job, its easy to find a 9-5 role that you can put minimal effort into until you retire. Pay is decent for the Austin market.

      Cons

      Argumentative environment that can be chaotic. Difficult to get promoted past director level, terrible offices, cafeteria is bad. Benefits are not good for a company of that size. I felt like they 'cheaped out' on creating a positive work environment.
