      Pros

      It used to be a good place but last few years it has gone downhill

      Cons

      No work life balance. I am based in Singapore and expected to be on call with Austin at 10/11pm. If you do not join some of them the Austin employees will complain but never offer to get on a call in the evening US time. Some of the VPs are just fake trained to SAY the right thing but not DO the right thing.

      My manager told me in one of our 1x1 sessions when we were chatting about career goals that Dell doesn't just look at people based on experience but also on potential. For the amount of time I've been here at Dell, I've heard and seen so many things about opportunities to grow and teach others. The culture is very diverse as well. Even though I'm working remotely, I have been engaged with many of my immediate teammates who work all over the world! It's really awesome to learn more cultures.

      Cons

      I haven't found too many cons simply because I'm not one to focus on negativities. I'd rather find the positives in every situation and hopefully encourage others to follow the same. For example, some of my teammates work in different time zones than I. To accommodate and ensure I work effectively with the team, I personally adjusted the times I log into work which was not required at all by management. It was my idea and my management group had no objections to it. They fully understand flexibility.
