Pros

Great team members to work with. Half decent benefits

Cons

Most overachievement on comission is capped or simply ignored. Targets bear no resemblance to market trends, historical spend or any other quasi fair method. Targets are set only to make commission unattainable.

Pros

Team I work in is extremely stable with good team members and interesting work that I feel ownership of.

Cons

Diversity and inclusion initiatives are solely focused on new hires rather than investing time and energy in promoting the existing diversity talent in the company. Senior management is almost entirely male, predominantly white and so are the next level below senior management. Very few women are promoted into leadership roles during the excessively frequent re-orgs At the individual contributor level there's very few women holding I-9 or higher roles. There's a lot of nepotism and friends/cliques taking care of their friends versus a true meritocracy. There's excessive rigidity in the promotion and pay raise departments. While Dell says they won't tolerate bullying or retaliation and that they go above and beyond what's required by law, they only take action on HR issues that could end up in a lawsuit. Don't expect to get any stock. Dell can't offer an employee stock purchasing program and they don't give RSUs to people who deserve them. It's a lot of friends taking care of each other resulting in huge pay gaps at the lower ranking staff.

Pros

Company culture Healthcare for you and your spouse/dependents

Cons

Extensive portfolio, it's impossible to know everything. Targets are generally unattainable. Compensation is not comparable to similar roles out there. Management consistently introduce methods to prevent you from being fairly compensated for arguably the most difficult job in Dell. The role is 65% admin/35% sales. No administration support. Essential applications such as ordering/quoting system have an issue every other week. No work/life balance before covid. This may change when the office is reopened. Moving roles internally takes roughly 12-18 months while simultaneously double jobbing/initiating steps towards the new role and networking. Removed Q2 2020 from the target file as Dell underperformed this qtr. 39% target increase Q3 2021 based on market projections rather than historical spend.
