      Overall not sure if I have a job or not because were outsourcing our jobs to low cost regions Brazil, Panama, Bratislava And other countries. I’ve had many coworkers who have had years of service suddenly jobless

      Pros

      The benefits continue to be quite worthwhile and I am glad to see that these have not been diluted. There are many pockets where leading-edge technology is being pursued but one will end up at one by dumb luck rather than career planning.

      Cons

      Lack of information about what is going on, constant change to justify middle-management's effort to remain relevant in a changing market. We are told to adjust to change yet nothing changes beyond additional administrative/bureaucratic process changes. NO integration (only lip service) between Legacy Dell and Legacy EMC which makes career growth impossible. You cannot jump from one legacy organization to the other. As a result, there are a lot of yes-men in the organization.

      Big company, recognizable name in the industry, nice colleagues.

      Cons

      - Promotions are based on WHO you know, not WHAT you know! Good and hard work are not recognized. - No free coffee & tea, terrible food choices onsite. - Long work hours & micromanagement - Customers needs are not a priority, metrics are. - Terrible managers
