After acquired by Dell, a lot of junk engineers and lot of managers hired makes the place no longer attractive.

Dell is a big brand name; will look good on your resume The pay could be comparable to industry standards if bargained well Employee policies are fairly reasonable and sound Possible to get a good work life balance

Cons

Technology content and depth in work is minimal Business process has undue presence and importance in a techie's work! Hardware gets mixed with software liberally: not comfortable for the pure software person
