Pros
Its a Big 4 so you know there's going to be a lot of work, and long hours, but the environment at Deloitte is great. They use the top technology better than the other Big 4, and the professional development is top notch. I've worked with employees of all the Big 4 accounting firms, and I've seen their techniques and methodologies first hand, and I feel that Deloitte is by the company that uses most common sense. Deloitte has been at the fore-front of diversity and developing programs so that employees have a better work/life balance.
Cons
Long hours, and you tend to have to neglect personal relationships at times. The work can require a lot of travel to many locations, which can be a plus or negative depending on your situation. Sometimes I've felt that the company's work/life balance speak is just on the surface and they don't practice what they preach, but in the end, the profession is what it is, and the Deloitte is the best ofthe Big 4 in understanding the employee's needs.
