Pros

Competetive salary ans lots of smart engineers, long vacation even in usa, technologies are often modern and no restrictions on using latest jre if required by performance or something else.

Cons

Chaos and restructuring every year, management often incompetent, architecture decisions are not clear, no architecture across divisions, lots of bureaucracy. Very different from engineering companies.

Pros

Huge amount of diversity and great acceptance of others. They have great benefits and the salary is at least on par if not better in most cases. Free coffee.

Cons

It's an investment bank and it's all about the money. Can be very stressful. Training is usually lacking or non existent. Expectations can be unreasonable by management but there is always someone willing to point the finger in times of trouble.
