Pros

0 to none experience required.

Cons

Most of my Colleagues , are eastern-Europeans with actual computer science degree. The only reason they work here - is green card sponsorship, pretty much all of em leave as soon as they get an employment authorization or green card. Simply cause the company does not pay them even half of what they are worth on the market. good example of company management style - is investing into creating positive outlook , by forcing HRs into writing fake positive reviews, instead of paying its employees some sort of competitive pay or creating opportunities Fun part is that - literally everybody knows what’s going on)

Pros

Good people around. Good Compensation when you join. Interview process is good to scrutinize the talent No 8 hours restriction.

Cons

No infrastructure/ 1 hall and room is all that they have. Parking issue - 3 car parking total, One of which is occupied by Director and long queue of list to be cleared. No hike after joining, Standard hike is 2-3%. Frequent firing. Higher management is very irresponsible and follow favoritism. They have only one client which is Mastercard, Client is very rude and treat you like slave. If you ever oppose the client they will ask for replacement (Which epam management easily agree on) and give you No-Hire feedback. Once you get the No-Hire feedback you will not be able to work for mastercard in the whole world. Now as EPAM have only one client, You will be asked to either relocate to Hyderabad or Chennai or to resign. Test Directors are surviving in the company by old connections and really have no knowledge about process/technology. They give estimates to client without collaborating with the team working on ground and never show up again, Actual working team drag their schedule day and night to cover up the unrealistic commitment. HR persons are not skilled and will play politics behind you. Whole time they will try to find out if you are looking out. High attrition rate : People leave the organization within 2-3 months when they come to know about actual truth. Most of the people abscond. Talk to ex colleagues of EPAM over linkedin or facebook before joining if you really care about your career and monthly EMI's. False onsite opportunity promise: All the clients are based in Pune and transfers to other countries is pure lie. There is no onsite opportunity at all, No one had ever been to foreign by transfer. Work: Most of the projects have monotonous work and no learning after a certain period of time. EPAM US is totally different than here. Sooner or later they ma ask to shut down this center as It is creating problem for image of global business.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We take these issues very seriously and we are always looking to improve. Glassdoor reviews are anonymous, but if you would like to talk more about it, please email at Shashikanth_bondugula@epam.com and we can discuss further. Pune centre has added more than 130 capacity in a years’ time and is buoyant to maintain the rapid growth into next year. EPAM in Pune operates from Smartworks business centre and a separate enclosure is created for EPAM with an ODC set up. We will be moving into new premises by middle of next year. Based on the seating capacity, Smartworks has allocated 14 car parks and a separate scooter parking. Car parking is a concern in major cities and we are encouraging associates to car pool. We have added a new Insurance client in Pune and very soon the project is going to kick-start. There is a potential for this account to grow exponentially. EPAM operates only from Hyd and Pune at present and planning to expand in Bangalore. Like any company, EPAM requests associates to be flexible to operate from any of its locations. And location transfer will be initiated as a last resort. So far, we have not asked any associate to relocate to Hyd. EPAM believes in providing opportunity to its associates to relocate to any of its 25 countries of operation based on the demand. To make this effective, EPAM has a global mobility policy where associates can apply to openings across 25 countries provided all guidelines are met. EPAM India is a key geography for EPAM to expand and to make this happen, we have opened a State of the art centre in Hyderabad with 1700 capacity and will be opening a new office in Pune sometime next year. We are adding marquee clients from Telecom, Insurance, Banking, Media this year that has large potential for growth. We have set incubation labs to enable associates to hone their skill before they are allocated to work on the projects.

Pros

Remote working. Decent salary. Learning opportunities.

Cons

EPAM may lure you in with a potential oppertunity, they will hire you and if the oppertunity does not mature they will layoff you so beaware of this risk. Its more like EPAM has hired you as a resource and now you have to find a job otherwise you will be laid off. If you are hired for particular business domain and then they are not able to find a client for you then you will be laid off. Mostly new oppertunities are advertised on their portal, due to mutliple factors resources in UK will not be the first choice which limits the available oppertunities for resources in UK and then there will be client interview process you have to go through and if you are not able to clear few client interviews you will be laid off. Currently they don't have much oppertunities, number of people are on the bench and layoffs are in progress. Mostly projects are 2~6 months long and you will be required to go through interview process for each, practically you will be on bench for couple of months after each project. Beaware if you contract mentions that certain perctage of your time needs to be on a project and your manager is not able to put you on a project then you are at risk of layoff. There is no employee care, especially if you are on probation, its more like a 3rd world factory where you will be discarded with giving a second thought. The quality of management varies significantly. Some managers excel, while others struggle, largely due to the dual expectations of project involvement and managing large teams simultaneously. This overextension can negatively impact the employee experience. Internal navigation is very wiered, their structure is very entangles where everyone is trying to create their own little world, even within one group there is no cohision and alignment. Think multiple time before joining EPAM as job security is very low and potentially you be laid off very soon. Also layoff will be without any warning. Money wise they will try to find every oppertunity so they don't have to pay you.
