Pros

Edwards is a good company to learn the basics of cGMP compliance. Health benefits are good.

Cons

Company lacks sound direction from management. Too many ego-driven directors and above. Management talks a good talk but doesn't back their talk with sound decisions. Office culture is too political. Too much turnover at Operations and Engineering management.

Pros

I enjoyed working with very friendly and talented people. There is a wealth of information here for people that want to continue learning and there are great opportunities for people that want to become leaders.

Cons

Too much focus on short term needs results in wasted efforts many extra hours on weekends. Taking personal time for vacation, or to care for a family member or even for a new baby seems to negatively impact your opportunities for advancement.

Pros

Good training and mentoring for new hires Great, friendly people and open, approachable environment Good facilities and overall atmosphere Great community involvement and interaction Work-life balance is supported Good sense of purpose and production

Cons

It is a regulated (FDA, Euro/Japan Health boards) so a lot of regulations and requirements, which may seem excessive, are needed and must be followed. It makes working more difficult, but ensures that everything is done correctly (or at least verified that it means a standard). Sometimes the goals of projects seem overly tedious.
