Pros

+ Fully remote distributed workforce creating a true level playing field for team members in all locations (no HQ making the decisions) + Very diverse workforce with team members in over 100 countries + Team members can work from anywhere with very flexible work schedules + A product which creates significant value for both employers (making global workforce management feasible and expanding talent pool) and employees (providing many remote employees an opportunity to work for the best global brands) + High rate of internal promotions and personal development opportunities + Historical growth velocity with a very fast paced and brave culture - making fast decisions, not being afraid to iterate and change things when needed + A relatively flat org structure with a strong hands-on culture across all levels. Executive team working frequently with individual contributors with a very informal approach + A large scale global operation providing team members exposure to clients and markets in over 150 countries - a great learning opportunity

Cons

- Some new hires can find it hard to perform in a fully remote and distributed environment. A lot of people are accustomed to work remotely post COVID, however Deel is a remote company by design and DNA. This requires adapting to an a-sync communication style, collaborating across timezones, documenting knowledge and being open to different cultures. Not a trivial transition for everyone - The pace of work is high and can be intense, a good level of self-management and planning is required to leverage the high degree of flexibility the company provides to create your own work-life balance - Building strong personal relationships with colleagues is tougher in a fully remote setup which means you need to put in the extra effort

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for being a leader of the Product team at Deel. We really appreciate the callout on a "strong growth mindset" and flexibility - these are huge assets for being successful at Deel.

Pros

Supportive management, clear expectations, good money, work from home culture is dialed in

Cons

Deel Speed is real. Not for everyone, but as I said, expectations are reasonable and compensation is appropriate so I don't see it as a con per se.

Pros

- Fully remote - Mostly nice and talented people, you can learn a bunch and the atmosphere is good in the beginning - Once you realize you're not ever getting a raise you can get by doing bare minimum - You can write the ceo on slack and he will respond, which is actually insane considering its such a huge company

Cons

- Everyone is underpaid, even the senior directors. They present employee equity as extra compensation, but make it very difficult to sell shares at secondaries. - Raise/promotion policies are set up in a way where most ppl will never get it. I've seen superstar employees get 2% annual raise. The rest got 1%. - Pay is localized, so you can do the same exact job but get pay half of the compensation if you're not based in the US. - It's either employee contract for less money, and you have some employee rights given to you by your country, or more money but you're getting misclassified on a b2b contract and using vaction days when you get sick. The actual work requirements and responsibilities are the same in both cases. - If you're not drinking the koolaid you better fall in line and keep any opinions challenging the status quo to yourself - Manager can get pretty manipulative, they'll say anything to appease you, but will not act in your interest unless it aligns with their internal politics play
