Pros

1. Team is the best benefit in Deel: Everyone I worked with was focused on the result, not the process itself. If it requires going outside the usual scope, most will do so to help. It means less corporate ping-pong and more productive cooperation. 2. Work from anywhere: Many like this in Deel. I work from home 90% of the time, but I love seeing others change flags in statuses. 3. I also mention it as one of the Cons: Deel is a quick-paced company, which means the product team delivers a lot and often.

Cons

1. Deel isn't your match if you are used to or looking for a relaxed and slow-paced work environment. This doesn't mean that everyone overworks, but it requires designers to deliver at a decent pace, adapt constantly, and be proactive about product decisions. I was directly informed about this during the interviews, so it totally matched my expectations since it also meant delivering fast. However, I have seen people leaving after a couple of months due to being overwhelmed with the workload. For others, it's a completely normal pace. 2. Onboarding may be rough: In some departments, domain knowledge is massive, and making decisions quickly and correctly requires learning many mechanisms related to compliance, legal, and HRX mechanisms in the product. Depending on your personality, it can be both daunting and exciting. On the other hand, the team would do their best to help you learn—your success is part of their success. 3. Not so many benefits: Some product companies cover healthcare, sports, mental wellbeing, education, etc. Deel isn't one of them. There is an annual travel budget, and that's it—for some, a travel budget isn't useful due to personal reasons.

Pros

- Fully remote - Mostly nice and talented people, you can learn a bunch and the atmosphere is good in the beginning - Once you realize you're not ever getting a raise you can get by doing bare minimum - You can write the ceo on slack and he will respond, which is actually insane considering its such a huge company

Cons

- Everyone is underpaid, even the senior directors. They present employee equity as extra compensation, but make it very difficult to sell shares at secondaries. - Raise/promotion policies are set up in a way where most ppl will never get it. I've seen superstar employees get 2% annual raise. The rest got 1%. - Pay is localized, so you can do the same exact job but get pay half of the compensation if you're not based in the US. - It's either employee contract for less money, and you have some employee rights given to you by your country, or more money but you're getting misclassified on a b2b contract and using vaction days when you get sick. The actual work requirements and responsibilities are the same in both cases. - If you're not drinking the koolaid you better fall in line and keep any opinions challenging the status quo to yourself - Manager can get pretty manipulative, they'll say anything to appease you, but will not act in your interest unless it aligns with their internal politics play
