Pros
- Good commitment to enabling staff to work from home and not forcing them back into the office if they don't feel comfortable/ safe - Good focus on learning and development - Quick progression if you're committed
Cons
- From a business analyst perspective the role of a BA within the Home Office is defined very differently to other organisations so trying to meet the technical competencies of the apprenticeship was very challenging - Apprenticeship provider for the BA programme is absolutely abysmal - Everything is so slow, people take forever to reply to emails or give certain pieces of work a priority so projects that should be quick take months - Majorly hierarchical, everyone is referenced by their grade rather than their job role and there's a serious lack of autonomy the lower down the grades you are which hinders personal development
