Pros

Great benefits, quick promotion rate, free management training, management experience. You'll be mentored by successful people 1-3 levels higher than you. Lots of places within the company to promote to.

Cons

Can be stressful, renting cars all day is not super fun, company policy does not always match company culture. 47 hour workweek (until you start working 7 am to 5 pm shifts, then it's more), and work doesn't always end right at close. Some managers are great, others more stressful to work with.

Pros

You’re employed and getting paid - work experience - you get benefits for a decent price of like $50-100 a check depending on what you select

Cons

You’re going to deal with a lot of insurance customer who were just in an accident and obviously aren’t happy that they have to come here. Usually nothing of your own fault the customer will 80% of the time take their anger out on you because you will not have the vehicle that they were scheduled for. You will be forced to charge them money for an insurance replacement vehicle they didn’t want in the first place. I’m not afraid of hard work so the operation hours and working multiple weekends weren’t an issue for me…my issue is that the lying and them wanting ME be deceitful to their customers goes against my own moral values and I was not okay with that. I listed a few examples that I’ve run into multiple times a day below. - usually you’re told to lie to customer because your managers want to make more money and not take the $25 a day deals - you don’t have enough cars either and upper management will write you up for NOT lying to customers and telling them you have a car when you both know you don’t. -Upper managers does get mad and so do the customer when you call them in advance to let them know that their are no vehicles because you’re trying to be honest about the situation All in all I can go on a rant all day about this company and their practices. If you just need a job and the experience AND can handle shi* hitting the fan multiple times a day come on in cause they’re always hiring for new MTs. (They’re always hiring for the reasons above)

Pros

The only positive here is that even meet some pretty awesome people. Most of the managers though only care about themselves and are pretty shady.

Cons

regional managers, area managers, and branch managers do not care about you at all even though they say they do. They only care about the profit and that’s it. You get burnt out very easily working more than 50 hours a week and you have no social life. Also, if you think you’re going to get promoted, that’s a laughing joke unless your sales are in the top five every single month. it’s VERY polical. they do not care about you. They do not care about the drivers and the detailers which are the backbone of the company. You don’t get paid very well for the hours you put in. You are on your feet for 10 hours a day. I worked at a very large branch and at the Burbank Airport and more of the time it was just me and a manager. I would see every single customer. Management sucks.
