Pros

Speed of progression - I went from entry level trainee to Branch Manager in less than 2 years. Salary progression is just as quick if you work hard. Was responsible for a multi-million pound business with 13 direct reports in the centre of Edinburgh at the age of 25. I was able to shape the role and had real responsibility and influence in the customer service, revenue/profitability and development strategy of my branch. Promote from within culture means you have a window into the future opportunities ahead of you both within and outwith rental. I'm now in a role where I have strategic influence at a senior level and have only been with the company 6 years. Work hard and network well and doors can easily open across the company. Rental employees have all started in the same position as you. They understand the stresses and challenges of the role and can support you through tougher times. Equally, they are generally all a similar age and some of my best friends to this day are those I have worked with over the years.

Cons

This is not a 9-5 grad office job but equally no-one goes through the recruitment process without this being made very clear. There are times of the year where the business requires an extra commitment and other times where there is plenty flexibility available. Understanding this and working with the team around you to make this work for both you and business is key.

Pros

Guaranteed full-time salary with overtime opportunity, full-pay holiday and sick days. I have learnt countless amount of skills within my first 7 months, and my personal development has come on tenfold. Enterprise provides an energetic environment to work in, and the hours truly fly in. There are so many different opportunities within the company, and everybody begins at the exact same position . Overall such a great graduate job.

Cons

There is a lot of driving involved when you first start out, and the early rises which means it can be tiring, so get plenty of sleep :))

Not the best company

Pros

Good for college graduates needing experience.

Cons

The company has a lot of upper management who only cares about profit and how much money they can keep in their pocket. The former GM made a bonus of 700k just for one month while lower level employees are making 45k for the year. Diversity in upper management and with people of power is rare as well which causes for racist comments and people of color feeling out of place.
