Pros

Enterprise hires great people, i made so many friends You will learn many skills; sales, phones, multi tasking, problem solving, and become excellent at washing cars all the time.

Cons

I have too many to list... They care about customers so much more than their employees Awful pay structure centeres around 50+ hr work weeks Bare minimum staffing - if someome calls out everyone suffers Retail and customer service is awful, i got verbally abused many times by customers I had to wear a buttoned shirt and tie and slacks and wash cars outside in the summer basically every day

Pros

Pros include the ability to move up fast if you are motivated; there are also good opportunities beyond Rental in areas like Risk Management, Remarketing, Car Sales, and Fleet; ownership - with EHI being a private company, the Taylor family can essentially do what they want without the pressure of Quarterly earnings - an example that I can remember is their operation in Germany - it lost a lot of money at first, but they stuck with it and turned it around.

Cons

It's ok as a starter - you start as a Sales Management Trainee and try to work your way up - doesn't happen for everyone - only a tiny percent make it to the VP/GM level; the pay is pretty weak; if you don't love working with the general public, stay away - they will drive you absolutely insane!!!!!! The bar to entry into this company is very low - they will take anyone and the resulting turnover is very high. Keep expectations low with regard to Branch Managers, Area Managers etc. I had good ones, but not everyone is fortunate like I was. I still don't understand how the Collision Damage Waiver, PAI and Liability is a good deal for the customer with a decent Collision/Comprehensive policy of their own - no one was every able to prove to me that it's a great deal for the customer and I never saw the margins on that stuff (I assume it is a lot higher than the margins on the actual rental rate) - so, if you are skeptic like me, you're going to be miserable selling that stuff. Lastly, the hours are long for a salary that is as low as it is.
