Pros

The campus is beautiful. I have had some of the best food in the cafeteria. Most of us got individual offices, so that you can concentrate on your work well.

Cons

The company has been expanding on a very large scale, so you are just a number in the company. The company hires mostly fresh out of college students, and the skills you learn as a Interface Analyst is hardly used anywhere other than the Epic. At the end of the day, if you dont get a good team lead who is understanding, life in Epic can be very miserable. So if you are not looking to stay in Epic for a long time, then it is a waste of time.

Pros

Sense of purpose Incredible co-workers Interesting, challenging work with a variety of tasks, mix of technical and non-technical work Quick and plentiful opportunities for growth (company is doing great, growing fast) Strong Management (especially Sr. management) International Sabbatical program Beautiful campus Great pay and benefits

Cons

Occasionally long hours and sometimes stressful. This is a result of working in healthcare related IT and really caring about it getting it right.

Pros

Good salary for college graduates. I earn more than an average Harvard graduate. Summer is nice here. Beautiful Campus. Makes you become mentally tough.

Cons

Your life will become miserable after your 7th month at Epic. 60 hours each week is normal. If you want to experience a sweat shop life, Epic will be a good place.
