Pros

Informal, comfortable workplace - no need to dress up and coworkers were generally pleasant to work with. Very nice campus.

Cons

Almost no focus on employee development - the philosophy seems to be to work people fairly hard, compensate them on the low end of the scale, and replace them with recent college graduates when they inevitably move on to something better.

Pros

They hire people right out of college with no healthcare experience and provide reasonably good initial training and certifications, which are impossible to obtain unless you work for one of their clients. They provide a good benefits package and a fairly high salary for recent college graduates. There are a lot of opportunities to get involved in interesting projects around the company. After working on several implementations, you get a pretty good idea about how the industry works in general, which comes in useful if you continue a career in healthcare. Talented and hard-working co-workers

Cons

Very poor work/life balance. Expect to work at least 55 hours a week regularly and up to 80 during heavy workloads (which happens every couple of months). Middle management is very hit or miss because they are promoted on the number of hours they logged rather than quality of work or actual management skills. Customers' needs are always valued over employees, which leads to employees being treated as expendable resources.

Pros

A great campus with excellent cafeteria and filled with highly intelligent and outgoing employees. Epic supports individual growth in the workplace while offering a unique set of benefits fit to compete with any other company of its kind.

Cons

The tendency at Epic is to encourage employees to work too much, with a high turnover and few employees lasting more than two years. While the compensation is good, Epic is known for burning out new graduates.
