Business Outlook

Pros

Good people, atmosphere is tolerable. Relatively stable company, few big layoffs (so far). Flexible, relatively good work life balance. Training opportunities.

Cons

Though technically fully supported, work from home not allowed. Open workplaces (moderate sizes, though). International workplace. One often has to cooperate with total strangers, whom one hardly understands. Division of responsibilities is not always clear. Management and development is mostly in "western" countries. Strong competition from "far eastern" countries. According to management, we are "cheap enough", though. Good for us.

Pros

The people have great perseverance and determination to succeed. Friendly and very skilled, people will always help. There is lots of opportunity to learn new skills in new technology areas.

Cons

if you goals align with the company's then you can get it a lot of Ericsson. However Ericsson will also happily take advantage as well. Long project hours, and no rewards and compensation are common place. The attitude of management is that employees should be grateful they still have jobs. A lot of words have gone into the new high performance culture, but these are not backed up by sincerity.
