Pros

OK Health Benefits, but poor Salary.

Cons

I worked in the NA headquarters, PLano Texas, depressing from the first day. I regretted joining this company a week into it. There is no guidance whatsoever, a mentor is assigned but most of them are preoccupied with their own work and have little interest in new employees. Asked to go through some documents and begin working. For a masters in Electrical Engineering from a top tier university, I took up the job as a systems integration engineer out of necessity. I quit the company 6 months in and am extremely happy working for a different company (I wont name the company but it is in the Forbes 25). I plead everyone looking for a job in Ericsson to avoid it like the plague.

Pros

Very friendly working environment. Pay and health benefits are fair. Frequent travels. Many company or company-sponsored training and courses. Yearly appraisals taken very seriously.

Cons

HR is not run by local people. At Ericsson, it often happens to see unworthy promotion. Some employees seem to be on fast track due to their relationship with high-level management.
