      Nice place, but not that challenging

      Pros

      Possible to work in really different areas. Not that much levels within the organisation. Direct line to mid and top management. Perfect work life balance. Nice location (Vienna center). Vienna is a very, very nice place to live.

      Cons

      Very, very political, some weak mid management "no decision makers" . Legal is king. Due market environment and market structure (austrian retail market is an oligopoly) a lot of people concentrate on internal politics.

      Pros

      Nice view from the main buildings. Chance to move in the CEE group to countries with more fruitful economic environment.

      Cons

      The company culture favours scapegoating. People are affraid of taking responsibility, decisions are delayed or not made at all at mid-mgmt or lower levels. The upper mgmt seems to lost connection to reality, they rarely perceive it. The working environment and day-to-day tasks are made stresseful by superiors and the company has been producing huge chunks of losses for 5 consecutive years now. Expectations for this year is also quite low.
