Pros

Insurance benefits. Tuition reimbursement. You have the ability to be as successful as you can be, if you are willing to work for it and deal with multiple disappointments along the way. It can be extremely easy at the hourly level.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations for management from VP level down. Incompetent/ out of touch upper management. Profit oriented, no longer people oriented. Unable to get resources to properly manage. Unable to hire specific jobs categories in an efficient manor. Director level makes arbitrary decisions which can seriously affect employees of all levels, only to erase the decision a day later. Chain of command may be too long..

Pros

Internal job promotions, able to transfer anywhere in the country for work. Full benefits for part-time employees. A variety of job opportunities. Education reimbursement to help you move into a new position.

Cons

The company has changed over the years from being a people first company to a profit first company. For long-time employees this is a difficult change, however, for new employees this is the status quo for Corporate America.
