Pros

Decent pay. Get paid to workout.

Cons

Even as a full time employee, hours were usually never over 30 a week. Management doesn't care about you or helping you out. Most of them haven't even done the job before. They will watch you and everyone around you struggling and tell you to do a better job. Employees come and go frequently due to the difficulty of the job and the poor management. A large portion of the employees that are hired are incompetent and can't handle the job anyway.

Good Enough

Pros

Work life balance is required, most managers are really nice and understanding. Benefits are good, standby flight benefits on all airlines.

Cons

If you are unable or don’t want to move from Dallas, consider your career dead. There are virtually no positions to promote to, and too many politics and higher ups with power struggles. Unable to control your numbers, it seems like they draw names from a hat to see who gets a bonus, internal issues are unreal for a company this size. The director is a nightmare, she is anti-family, anti-team work, if she had it her way we would be glued to our desks all day. They also changed the bonus payout and they don’t care how that money affects our families.

Package Handler

Pros

PTO, holiday pay plus time and a half for 8 holidays a yr even though certain shifts have to work almost every single one of them. You're never off. Decent health insurance after 1000 hours.

Cons

Full timers work 8 to 9 hours a day or sometimes even longer with only one break. You get a 30 minute lunch and that's it, which means you work almost five straight hours without being able to stop. No company bonuses ever for anything, no incentives. We didn't get any raise when the corporate tax cut was passed even though the company said they would give them in the media. Package handlers that have been there four years and gotten all the raises don't get pay increases for getting promoted to operations manager because the pay is the same if you're getting the late night shift differential for package handlers.
