Pros

Great benefits, good pto, room for growth.

Cons

You are treated as just a number at Fidelity not a person. The upper management is insufferable and aggressive with how they speak to you and have unreasonable expectations. The metric system they use to calculate success is flawed and inaccurate. I worked there for numerous years and had zero performance issues, no warnings or any complaints ever with how I managed my workload and performed my numerous job responsibilities I had and was just suddenly abruptly let go. They were afraid of losing a large client because of precious errors teams made so used me as a scape goat of an issue to keep a high profitable clients retirement account with fidelity. They hold everyone on team to different standards and let extremely incompetent employees work at company so they can meet diversity statistics rather than keep hard working knowledgeable dependable employees.

Pros

Robust benefits package that included 7% 401k match and profit sharing.

Cons

Fidelity used to be a champion for their associates but after requiring employees to work remotely for over 2 years that came to an abrupt end in favor of real estate value. Associates stepped up to make Fidelity look good and maximize profits when the pandemic started, pivoting to working at home at a moments notice only to be bullied to return to the office and micromanaged despite the overwhelming request of associates to remain remote. Gone is the autonomy and flexibility as "Big Brother" started watching your every badge swipe. Go ahead take PTO during a Connect Week, but be prepared to have to make those days up in the office. The required in-office attendance wasn't really helping with collaboration, associates kept earbuds in and to themselves anyway and still attended all meetings virtually. Associates who moved hundreds, or even thousands of miles away from a Fidelity campus were not exempt from the Connect Week requirements forcing many great associates to leave the company.

Pros

The benefits are definitely pros. 401k matching up to 7%, tuition reimbursement and medical are all noteworthy benefits.

Cons

Your pay will be low unless your are in sales. Service used to get paid well if you worked your way to the top, however, Fidelity recently restructured variable compensation and top performing reps are taking up to a $10,000 pay cut. While they cut your pay they are asking you to do twice the work by consolidating roles and drastically increasing calls per hour expectations. Expect to handle complex problem resolution on matters like alternative investments, international wires, or incorrect cost basis research all while taking 7 calls per hour. You will get paid around $50,000 for practically handling every aspect of service for all clients and financial consultants who very likely know less than you but get paid over twice as much. In summary the pay is low, the goals are practically (now) unattainable, job security is not the best.
