Pros

Good benefits. Co-workers are nice. Work is super easy and doesn't take much time if you are smart. Great for coasting into retirement.

Cons

Not a good place for people who are implied leaders. It's a very top-down culture. You have no budget even as a VP, no freedom to push outside the "Fidelity way". Most people have been here for the last 20 years and it shows how out of touch these leaders are with how workforce of today looks at leadership and work in general. Long tenured middle managers and individual contributors also show a strange indentured servitude behavior. Many don't have the spine to say the truth, stand up for their beliefs and do the right thing. The culture is to sugar coat bad news and push all decision making as far up as possible. This might be fine if you come from a top-down, command and control culture. If you have worked in a culture of empowerment, this will be a stifling place. The company is headed towards uncharted territory but people up top lack the will to get rid of the "leadership" crud that only knows status-quo and actively tries to stonewall new ideas. A vast majority started their careers in phone sales - so they are not equipped for todays and tomorrows world. It will be an extremely hard task to correct the current heading of this ship. Drastic measures are needed to clean house but I doubt it will happen. I am waiting to see what happens in the next year. Again, if you are a young, go-getter this might not be a place for you. If you want to build a career that enables you to work in another company later, don't count on developing yourself as a leader here. If you want to be told what to do and just want to spend a few more years until retirement, this place is great and has excellent benefits.
