Pros

- Talented yet humble and down-to-earth engineering teams - Reasonable hours

Cons

- Overly hierarchical and opaque; making decisions takes too long - Too many meetings - Too many layers of security get in the way of achieving results - Senior management out of their depth and not receptive to feedback; failure rewarded and success not appreciated - Too much reinventing the wheel - Employee talent wasted - Limited WFH - Lack of employee diversity

Pros

- Incredible ambition within the firm - VERY smart colleagues - Still maintaining an entrepreneurial, ideas-driven environment despite scale of business - Excellent benefits - Genuinely operate at the cutting edge of tech/ML/finance - Lots of investment to help achieve goals - Really good work/life balance compared to quant competitors - Strong commitment to learning and development - Friendly environment where people are encouraged to enjoy each other's company and have fun

Cons

- As noted by other reviewers, security has historically slowed things but this area is much improved - Like many firms, took some time to alight upon best office/WFH stance (having not offered any work from home pre-pandemic) but now have a really nice balance (c 2 days/week at home if you want it)
