Pros

Great health insurance benefits and that is it. This place is AWFUL! You couldn't pay me to come back.

Cons

Everything but I'll list them off: 1. It's 99% white people at the company - zero diversity. 2. You're constantly being micromanaged. 3. My manager used to play favorites and was really creepy and aggressive towards my female co-workers. 4. Toxic environment to be in - you will hate going into the office everyday. 5. You have to stroke your superiors ego. 6. Sales performance is 100% based on luck depending on which territory you're in, who's your account manager, and who's your direct manager. 7. They don't practice what they preach. I could list of 100 more reasons why this company SUCKS but I hope with the reasons above you're able to stay far away from this place. Good luck in your endeavors.

Pros

Still looks good on your cv for the next job There are a number of people there with the ‘can do’ attitude and they are fantastic- you just have to find them!

Cons

Large turnover means constant pressure of being re-evaluated by leadership, regular changes in org structure/ hierarchy and lack of job security Expectation is to work way beyond 9-5 to keep up with meetings and expectations No clear direction shared for progression; promotion is at the whim of your manager Lack of overall strategy and large amount of manual process - lack of practicing what they preach

Pros

None that I could think off.

Cons

Gartner is known to be a company who is into a business of telling other companies how to do their business better. Ironically they themselves have no clue on how to run their own company. Starting from their infrastructure to IT tools to overall structure. It is a sheer mess, In the name being focussed on providing best IT advise, the tools used by the company are legacy. They are still using manual excel dashboards without having visibility on what is available in the market that is making strides in the current time. For performance management. There is hardly any focus on cross-training employees who can gain better skills to be relevant in the market and also that can be used within the company. There is hardly any knowledge-share between different departments. Neither any efforts are made by the operations/HR teams in that area. HR does not support operations. Incompetent people hired in HR department who would discriminate between gender. Pathetic work culture. People will just join for the namesake that it is able to develop for itself in the last decade. For the Gurgaon center: The population hired is majorly Millenials who just lack the maturity, full of negative attitude and will end up having issues with you right from day one. They will walk to HR for petty issues and does not hesitate escalating things to the topmost management and will go to the extent of getting you fired. HR will support them on almost everything as half of your time will end up fighting with HR on policies that are purely supporting the employees with a negative attitude. Every millenial hired in Gurgaon center carries the attitude of joining the company today and becoming the CEO tomorrow. People hired recently lack basic skills like positive and can-do attitude but are rather looking for easy money as no one will take actions on non-performance. Again, there are no structure to measure performance here. Sadly, it is no longer the company it used to be. I would suggest looking for a company that takes your career ahead rather than being with a company that takes away the skills you earned.
