Pros
Good training, smart people, great products, decent pay if you are able to meet objectives
Cons
not the caliber of management one would expect considering how exclusive Gartner is about who they hire. Very few people are hired from outside the company into leadership roles, which perpetuates a culture that is robotic. More of a cult than a culture. The sales model is based on GEO within an account - therefore there could be multiple sales people calling into a client, often after the same budget money. This promotes bad behavior and tremendous channel conflict. Selling to the client is not nearly as hard as navigating the sales model. It is commonplace for one sales person to have a "win" and another rep take a loss at renewal. Gartner is constantly hiring - not because of growth opportunity, because of attrition.
