Not an inclusive company

Pros

Growing and very successful company

Cons

Unfortunately Gartner doesn't seem to value its internal workforce and tries to make them feel like they are lucky to be employed by such a company. Gartner also has very strict salary regulations that do not allow employees to move upwards even if they are achieving promotions so you will never progress in terms of salary (it would rather pay an external candidate 80k then promote a high performing 60k employee and pay them 70k as the uplift would be too high no matter the jump in responsibility) However, this is also compounded that Gartner doesn't provide an inclusive atmosphere around this shaming anyone who tries to bring up salary as senior management think it must be kept silent - As you could expect this is due to different people receiving different uplifts every year (even with same performance ratings) as well as employees in same roles being on different bonus levels If this is also brought up there is a complete disregard for the employee and they dismiss it out of hand also releasing communication that salaries must not be discussed internally Advice is if you wish to progress it will not be the place for you but if you're happy to see out your career at a stable company it would be a fit

Complex, inefficient organization.

Pros

Can’t think of any pros except maybe work life balance

Cons

1. No client centricity - it would be an understatement to say “no client centricity”. There’s disrespect for clients, no regard for their feedback and absolutely no focus on clients while making product or service decisions 2. Complexities in everything for no reason - they have taken a simple business model and over engineered it to an extent that they are trapped in it themselves. Clients don’t understand the business model anymore. Employees find it tough to deliver because of unthoughtful, illogical programs thrown at them every now and then. 3. Decisions are made to suit leadership whims vs logic - Leaders are biased and in a race to impress the OC and CEO. People are afraid to disagreeing with leaders. It’s not appreciated. Frankly, they are focused on solving problems that are not even real. They throw unnecessary collaterals at clients without thinking if they add any value 4. Lack of diversity in leadership and any investment in developing future leaders

Pros

Decent salary, that's about it

Cons

There's a reason there is alot of negative reviews, I can say this is by far the worst company I've worked for. Management is poor and lie to you Not made to feel welcome if coming from outside of gartner Childish environment No diversity, one of the first things which I noticed I was here only for a few short weeks but that was enough to leave. My advice is to read the comments left by other staff and don't make the same mistake I did. Only consider it if you know someone personally inside the company
